About William Stanley, Landscape & Garden Designer

William Stanley is the great grandson of the explorer Sir Henry Morton Stanley. William trained in horticulture and arboriculture at Merrist Wood Agricultural College in Surrey, one of the country's leading colleges in landbased industries. He then studied a further year in Landscape & Garden Design at the Oxford College of Garden Design before working at The Chelsea Gardener in London.

William set up Stanley Landscapes Ltd in 2000 and his design commissions range from grand country estates to small urban gardens, both nationally and internationally. William is involved in every aspect of every project he undertakes, working closely with the client to create a unique outdoor space, which enhances the feel of the property and its surroundings.

From window boxes to parkland planting schemes in traditional or contemporary styles, William will help you choose the best plants and materials suitable to the brief and budget. Whether design only, design and construction, or a regular maintenance contract, William personally attends to every aspect of the project.
